E 'of these days the bad news that will cut the municipal funds for culture in Italy, for cultural arts exhibitions and music concerts. Have not been touched only the money for the festivities and food festivals.
I write this because in my city, Vercelli, in the last 3 years there has been a very important exhibition of masterpieces from the Guggenheim Foundation, which has museums around the world, Italy is in Venice, then there is a New York is the headquarters, then there are important museums in Berlin (Germany), Bilbao (Spain) and Las Vegas (United States).
We had the honor of hosting in space restored for the occasion in the old church of San Marco or the ARCA (photo by my husband),
many paintings and sculptures by famous artists in the world, Kandinsky, Monet, PICASSO, to name a few, we admired, and I'm happy to say that many tourists and art lovers came from out of town to see the Ark of Vercelli with works from the famous museums of the Guggenheim Foundation.
now could really not have anything, and this all go to other cities with more economic opportunities (sponsor), and writing this because 'is not right that we take away too, as well other things that we already have.
For years, are trying to take away our province, our city hospital downgrade (which works fine, tried it on my health and my family), and we now feel well with the culture, having already taken a lot of work moved to other areas.
I wrote this in protest against the DOWNGRADING OF CULTURE like it was just a waste of time, since it is considered so, it really is a critical situation for all cities like mine, they're trying to get out crisis.
If the future is this, it becomes very sad and empty, only an exchange of things and money, all the rest becomes unwieldy and useless as history, music, and culture.
